the restoration of Super Guppy F-BTGV

Facebook Friends & Forumeers Open Day

Saturday 10th April Bruntingthorpe airfield

On 10th April we offered a freebie for our supporters to come and have a look round and see what we've been up to. It coincided with the Lightning Preservation Group's own open day so there was plenty to see as well as the Super Guppy. Many people took up the offer and  had a look round the Guppy both inside and out and Gaz demonstrated the lights and other bits. Then there was  a bouns item when he opened up the Comet (Canopus) for a tour. Thank you to everybody who supported the event and who made donations either in cash, vouchers or materials, where known names have been added to the Wall of Thanks

Gaz's son Dexter was on hand as a guide

Matt Evans (Wedgy) found a different angle to photograph from , the weather was certainly kind for a change

and Mick Haines ventured even further for this photo
